Neutral Duty Free opens expanded shopping outlet in Rivera

Neutral Duty Free celebrated the opening of a new store on the important Uruguayan / Brazilian border of Rivera last week.

At 1,800 sqm in size the new store offers nearly triple the space of the 650 sqm Neutral store that it replaces, Neutral CEO Enrique Urioste tells TMI.

The store offers a broad range of traditional duty free merchandise such as fragrance, cosmetics, liquor, tobacco and wine as well as a broad assortment of clothing, electronics, toys and other gift items.

“Neutral is now finalizing the layout of the new 4,000 sqm store that we will have at the Melancia Mall to be opened mid-2015.

“This is the first big mall to open not only in the border but in the south of Porto Alegre, the Brazilian capital city of the State of Rio Grande Do Sul,” says Urioste.

The 30,000 sqf mall will be anchored by two Duty Free stores – Neutral and Grupo Wisa’s La Riviera–and opened in two phases.
