In a step that further solidifies its operations in South America, Dufry opens two duty free stores at Brazil’s Viracopos International Airport, the first duty free shopping offered at that airport. Page 1.

 

In North America, International Shoppes has opened a completely renovated store at Philadelphia International Airport. The largest of the four stores it operates at PHL, the latest remodeling features many of the successful elements featured in IS’s ground-breaking Boston Logan shops.  The latest photos from the new store can be seen on the TMI Facebook page here.

 

In PEOPLE News, Vancouver, Hartsfield Jackson Atlanta, and Miami International Airports made some changes in senior positions.  Estee Lauder Companies recently announced two key personnel changes in North America, and LVMH’s Bernard Arnaud‘s daughter Delphine Arnaud steps into the #2 role at LVMH’s flagship Louis Vuitton brand.

 

Tax Free World Association announces that two high-profile world figures will be keynote speakers during the opening plenary session of the TFWA World Exhibition & Conference on Monday, Oct. 21, 2013. Registration for the industry’s premier global event is now open at www.tfwa.com.

Airport dynamics on the air. Long time travel retail veteran James Kfouri, who is currently Global Travel Retail Director at Paramount Farm Sales (owner of the Wonderful Pistachios brand) tracks the exponential growth of Wonderful Pistachios in the latest Airport Dynamics clip featured at www.airportdynamics.tv. Kfouri outlines the key factors in developing the convenient snack nut category, in a segment that was produced at this year’s IAADFS Show in association with Travel Markets Insider.
