With the release of the 13th annual BrandZ Top 100 Most Valuable Global Brands ranking by WPP‘s marketing and brand consultancy Kantar Millward Brown this morning, TMI is presenting a special report on the Luxury and Personal Care (Beauty) categories, as well as a look at the Top 50 Most Valuable Latin American Brands ranking.

Luxury Brands turned in a stellar performance in 2018, growing in value by 28% over last year. In fact, the pace of growth increased seven-fold over the past 12 months. Louis Vuitton retained its no. 1 position, but it was Gucci who stole the show in the Luxury category with the fastest growth of its brand value. Highlights of the Luxury report begin on page 2.

Premium brands also dominated the BrandZ Personal Care category, with L’Oréal Paris retaining the no. 1 position for the sixth year in a row. Shiseido, up by 42%, Estée Lauder, with its brand value rising 29%, and Lancôme and Clinique, both up by 20% in value, also turned in outstanding performances. More details on this and the Latin American winners on page 3.
