HURRICANE MARIA
 
Even as much of the Caribbean is digging out from the damage caused by Hurricane Irma earlier this month, the region was hit by a second monster storm with Hurricane Maria. This storm has devastated the islands of St. Croix in the U.S. Virgin Islands, and Puerto Rico, a major island with some 3.4 million residents, with damage that PR’s Governor calls “apocalyptic.”

With the duty free and travel retail industries’ premier global event beginning in just a few days, management changes are dominating the news.
Stephen Corrigan, an experienced travel retail spirits executive with long tenures at Pernod Ricard and William Grant & Sons, will be heading up a brand new company formed with a team led by Andy Consuegra called WEBB Global Travel Retail.Corrigan says that the exciting new company will be consumer-centric and will deliver a portfolio of true “craft” spirits products across the world.
