Alfred Giraud French Malt Whisky was awarded the highest ever rating for a French whisky by Whiskey Advocate for its limited edition whisky UNE ODYSSÉE.
UNE ODYSSÉE, the inaugural release from the Alfred Giraud Singular Collection, achieved an exceptional rating of 95 by Whiskey Advocate, which places UNE ODYSSÉE within the top 1% of the 7,092 whiskies reviewed by Whisky Advocate since its inception in 1992, says the company.
UNE ODYSSÉE is aged in a singular, exceptionally long-serving cognac cask sourced by the Giraud family, with a limited release of only 459 bottles. It is an annual release of only one cask.
Alfred Giraud Founder Philippe Giraud tells TMI that DFS listed UNE ODYSSÉE at its Masters of Wines & Spirits event last month in Macau and has extended the listing of the Alfred Giraud core range to Los Angeles, San Francisco, and New York. The brand first launched with DFS at the 2023 Master of Wines & Spirits.
“Coming four decades after the emergence of French whisky, this achievement stands as a testament to the collective dedication of France and its artisans, who have tirelessly pursued excellence to ascend to the pinnacle of the whisky world,” Philippe Giraud says of the acclaim for UNE ODYSSÉE.
UNE ODYSSÉE, which was listed with Le Clos in Dubai effective April 2024, joins two other Alfred Giraud expressions with high ratings from Whiskey Advocate. INTRIGUE and VOYAGE both earned 92 points from the publication.
UNE ODYSSÉE is available at a retail price of $2,600.
