It may be the middle of summer but the travel retail channel seems to be busier than ever.
In a major development that can make travel a little easier in the United States, the Transportation Security Administration –TSA- last week eliminated the need for travelers to remove their shoes when going through security.
Meanwhile, in the UK, two airports – Edinburgh and Birmingham – will now allow passengers to carry bottles of up to two liters in their hand luggage. Both airports have installed new CT X-ray technology, but the roll-out of the costly technology is lagging in most of Europe, and not expected to be widely implemented in the near future.
