The La Boutique duty free store was visited by more than 7,500 travelers in its first week of operation at California’s John Wayne Airport. A joint venture of Duty Free Holdings and DF Express, La Boutique opened for business on May 30, 2024 with a gala ribbon cutting attended by government and community dignitaries. This is the first duty free store at John Wayne Airport.

“This robust initial turnout reflects the community’s excitement and approval and is a promising indicator of the store’s future success,” said the store owners.

The store opening also showcases JWA’s commitment to diversity and innovation. La Boutique, a woman and minority-owned business, will enhance the shopping experience for national and international travelers with its “Click and Collect” program allowing customers to pre-order items online at laboutiqueairports.com and pick them up at the gate before their flights.

La Boutique offers travelers access to an expansive collection of high-end products, including sparkling wines and spirits from Johnnie Walker to Dom Perignon, and designer beauty products from prestigious brands such as Chanel, Estée Lauder, and Hermès, as well as a range of unique products that cater to John Wayne Airport’s high-end travelers.

The “architecturally elegant” design of La Boutique was executed by a nationally awarded architect firm, AO, and reflects DFH’s commitment to luxury and excellence. The store’s layout and aesthetic are tailored to provide an inviting and upscale shopping environment for all travelers, says the company.
