Estée Lauder TR names new key positions

Nathan Moris to head up Americas TR operations

The Estée Lauder Companies Inc. has named Nathan Moris as the new Vice President/General Manager, Travel Retail Americas, effective August 18, 2014.

Moris will be located in the Miami office and report to Olivier Bottrie, President Travel Retail Worldwide.

Moris’ move signals his return to the Americas region, after more than 10 years in Europe and the Middle East, most recently as General Manager for the Benelux countries for ELC. Moris started his career with Estee Lauder in the Miami office in 1998 and worked there until relocating to London in 2003. Other positions included Regional Director, Clinique Travel Retail Europe, Middle East & Africa, and later Brand Manager, Clinique, in Switzerland.

In its official announcement,ELC said that Moris’ “strategic approach to business, his strong leadership skills and his extensive experience within The Estée Lauder Companies makes him an ideal leader to continue the successful development of the Company’s Travel Retail business in the Americas.”

New positions for Furniturewalla, Aquilina

In other key appointments, Ayaz Furniturewalla has been named Vice President/General Manager, Bobbi Brown, Jo Malone London & Tom Ford Beauty, Travel Retail Worldwide.

Furniturewalla joined The Estée Lauder Companies’ Travel Retail division as Vice President/General Manager for Aramis and Designer Fragrances, Origins and Good Skin Labs late last year, after an extensive tenure with Elizabeth Arden working in Europe, Asia, the Middle East and North America.

James Aquilina, another familiar face in the Americas, is the new Vice President/General Manager, Aramis and Designer Fragrances, Origins, Smashbox and GoodSkin Labs, Estée Lauder Travel Worldwide.

“Aquilina’s broad experience in Travel Retail, his vast knowledge of the business across three major prestige beauty categories and his cross brand experience make him ideally suited to lead this portfolio of brands globally for Travel Retail,” said the ELC statement.

Aquilina first joined ELC in Miami in 2006, and worked there until 2011, when he was Regional Director – Bobbi Brown, Jo Malone and La Mer – Travel Retail Americas.

Most recently, he was Regional Director, Estée Lauder and Tom Ford Beauty, Travel Retail EMA, based in London. His experience included overseeing the Company’s inflight and aquatic business for Travel Retail Americas.

Both Furniturewalla and Aquilina report to Olivier Bottrie. Their new positions became effective on Sept. 1, 2014.
