The International Association of Airport and Duty Free Stores (IAADFS) has announce details of the plenary session scheduled for Monday, April 15, 2024, the opening day in West Palm Beach, Florida.
The plenary session of the IAADFS 2024 Summit of the Americas will feature a panel comprised of several well-known authorities in the industry with extensive knowledge of the region, including Greg Ford of Pernod Ricard, Felipe Grant from Puig Travel Retail Americas, Markus Suter of Lindt, and Nuno Amaral from ARI. All four are current members of the IAADFS Board of Directors. One additional panelist has been invited and confirmation is pending. IAADFS Chairman Rene Riedi of Avolta will serve as moderator of the panel.
“We have organized an informative and valuable panel discussion designed to provide our attendees with information on the current opportunities and challenges facing the industry,” stated IAADFS President and CEO Michael Payne, adding, “The intent is to structure this session as a conversational exchange with the panelists through a series of questions and answers; this dialogue approach will be engaging, and the audience will find the content valuable.”

Cruise Workshop
The IAADFS has partnered with DFNI to host a special workshop devoted to cruise retail in the Americas that will take place on Tuesday, April 16, at 1 p.m.
The Panelists for Sailing into Success: Cruise Retail in the Americas 2024 include Clara Susset, COO, m1nd-set; Lisa Kauffman, Chief Sales & Marketing Officer, Starboard Cruise Services; Emily Lively, Head of Cruise & Airlines, Diageo Global Travel; and Estelle Baumann, Managing Director, Denizen. The session is moderated by Chris Madden, Special Projects Editor, DFNI.
Key discussions will include:
- Analyzing behavioral and shopping trends among cruisers in the North America, South America and Caribbean markets
- Exploring the synergies between destination allure and onboard retail offerings
