Pilgrim creates giant spectacle at Montreal Airport with ARI

Danish jewelry brand Pilgrim is partnering with AerRianta International (ARI) at Montreal Airport for four weeks, highlighting its collection with a super-sized pair of sunglasses, which is turning travelers’ heads in store.

Located in the international terminal, the simple and elegant sculpture creates an irresistible eye-catching installation and together with the branded image wrap column draws attention to Pilgrim’s extensive range of sunglasses displayed on the standalone, dual-facing units.

Handmade and designed in Denmark, the Pilgrim sunglasses are inspired by Pilgrim’s Scandinavian roots. They are gender-neutral, and most are made from recycled material in line with the company’s ethos and on-going commitment to sustainability.

The glasses have polarized lenses and UV400 protection and are available with silver and gold-plated sunglass chains. Prices begin at C$79.

ARI head of category, Richard Maynes, says:

“We have been stocking Pilgrim sunglasses for over a year and are delighted by the response from customers.

“We invited Pilgrim to create something different and eye-catching for our promotional space. The oversized pair of sunglasses stands out in a world full of complex visuals.”

“We have produced an installation that represents our contemporary design ethos and exudes style and personality,” says Pilgrim’s Head of Travel Retail, Louise Rohde.

Louise Rohde. “These giant sunglasses make a statement that represents our commitment to creating products that are both fashionable and functional. They symbolize adventure, sun-soaked getaways and the essence of traveling in style. They’re not just a pair of sunglasses, they embody the experience we want our customers to enjoy.

“This sunglasses event with ARI ensures that travelers not only see our brand but experience it in a way that sets us apart,” said Rohde.

Pilgrim’s contemporary, travel retail-exclusive jewelry collection for 2024, Shapes of Life, which was unveiled in Cannes, celebrates the freedom to choose and follow your own path and create a life in harmony with your values and beliefs. Pilgrim jewelry is plated with either 24k gold or 925 sterling silver, and the necklaces and rings are adjustable.

Pilgrim is available in airport, cruise, and airline retail. Its stronghold is in Europe, with the brand also available in the U.S. and Canada, where it is well established.

Airport retail customers include Gebr. Heinemann, ARI, 3Sixty, and Dufry.

Later this year, Pilgrim is opening a customized area at Dallas Fort Worth Airport in collaboration with 3Sixty and expanding its partnership further with ARI in Portugal and the Middle East. In the cruise channel, new partnerships in 2023 include AIDA and Stena Line.
