Dufry continues to announce new developments following the “transformational acquisitions of Nuance and World Duty Free,” and this past week unveiled a new corporate logo and branding strategy, which it says will better reflect the three established corporate cultures and well-recognized duty free brands that now make up its entity.

The announcement came on the back of solid nine month earnings, which Dufry Group CEO Julian Diaz said makes him confident on the resilience of the Dufry business model. “Our strategy of diversification has prepared Dufry to mitigate temporary disturbances in specific markets, while benefiting from the positive long term trend in travel retail,” he said. Miami International Airport also reports exceptional results for the third quarter of 2015, and kicked off the final part of the year with new carriers, new routes, new super-jumbo service. See pages 1 & 2.

Coty Inc. – which is expected to close on its acquisition of the P&G beauty brands in the second half of calendar 2016, subject to regulatory clearances – last Monday announced that it is acquiring Brazilian beauty and personal care company Hypermarcas. See page 2.
