In one of the biggest stories of the week, Avolta’s Hudson and Dufry won the duty free/travel retail concession at New York’s JFK International Airport Terminal 6. This is the first of several very hotly contested tenders that are out for bid at JFK. Terminal 6 – which will occupy the site of the former Terminal 6 and Terminal 7 when completed — is part of the $19 billion transformation going on a JFK. See full story on page 1.
Hudson also announced this week details of the new seven-year contract it signed with Pittsburgh International Airport to open six new retail stores, including in PIT’s new terminal under construction.
