Philippe Margueritte new president of TFWA
The biggest breaking news of the week took place this morning in Paris, where the TFWA Management Committee elected a new president for the Association—former Coty executive Philippe Margueritte assumed the role held by Erik Juul-Mortensen, who oversaw the Association for more than half of its 40-year existence.

IATA’s latest air passenger analysis shows sold growth across the globe in October. Page 1.
The U.S. Department of Commerce’s National Travel and Tourism Office (NTTO) has released highlights of its in-depth surveys of international arrivals to the United States and U.S. citizen departures from the U.S. during the second quarter of this year. Read the trends to get an idea of what is ahead. Page 2.
Industry research agency m1nd-set, meanwhile, today published its air traffic and shopper behavior forecast for 2025. It shows Asia Pacific roaring back to exceed 1 billion passengers in the coming year. And while other (more mature) regions continue to grow, their share of market are expected to decline.
