FreeWorld Brands has announced it will be distributing Ellers Farm Distillery’s Dutch Barn Vodka, co-owned by comedian Ricky Gervais, in duty free and travel retail.
This is the first step into travel retail for Ellers Farm Distillery. Ricky Gervais made a major investment in the company in November 2023 and became co-owner.
Ellers Farm Distillery launched the award-winning Dutch Barn Vodka in 2022 to offer drinkers “the opportunity to rediscover vodka,” says the company. A uniquely-distilled liquid that is handcrafted from British apples and tasted every 20 minutes during the unique distillation process, Dutch Barn Vodka’s mission is to showcase the quality and versatility of vodka to modern spirits drinkers.

Dutch Barn Vodka is B Corp certified and committed to making planet-friendly choices in every step of the creation of its liquid. It has been Carbon Neutral since day one. In 2022 the distillery became home to acres of young apple trees, meaning Dutch Barn Vodka is able to remove carbon from the atmosphere and create biodiverse habitats that benefit local pollinators, birds, and mammals. Its trademark brown glass bottles were also chosen because they use a higher percentage of recycled glass and are made in Yorkshire, cutting down transport emissions and paving the way for a new gold-standard in sustainable vodka production.
