This week’s issue of Travel Markets Insider mostly focuses on Avolta, which has been winning new and extended contracts all over the world. Internationally over the past few weeks, the global travel retailer and F&B leader announced it has entered Saudi Arabia, secured a new F&B partnership in China, won its first duty free contract in Turkey, and extended its presence in the Middle East with expanded operations at the new Zayed airport in Abu Dhabi, among other developments.

In the Western Hemisphere, most recently, Avolta announced a major new long-term duty free and duty-paid contract at JFK International Airport in New York at Terminal 6, and just days later released details on the duty-paid and F&B contract it has snapped up at JFK Terminal 8. Read the stories on page 1.

Looking South, Avolta added Manaus Airport to its already significant footprint in Brazil, and expanded its presence in Chile with a new duty-paid store in Santiago International Airport. Page 2.

These follow on the opening of the Group’s beautifully renovated duty free store in Mexico City, revealed in September. The company says that all of these developments are in line with its Destination 2027 program to create “a travel experience revolution” with the traveler at the core of its approach.

From a product perspective, Coty’s prestige sun and skincare brand Lancaster Monaco has partnered with Avolta for its first foray into travel retail in South America, where it is first available exclusively in travel retail Argentina. See the full story on page 6.

Argentine-made Iltico Limoncello, which is created with lemons from Tucuman in Northern Argentina, is celebrating its listing with Avolta in Ezeiza and Aeroparque duty free stores, as it enters the travel retail channel in its home market. Read more on page 6.
