Stoli Group ran an engaging virtual tasting session for its super-premium Se Busca Mezcal brand at the Virtual Summit of the Americas show last month.
Led by Se Busca Global Brand Ambassador Simone Bodini, the session featured a tasting of two Se Busca expressions: Se Busca Mezcal Joven and Se Busca Joven Madrecuishe.
Se Busca, which means wanted in Spanish, is a recent addition to the Stoli portfolio.
Bodini went through the history of the family-owned mezcal’s remote Palenque (distillery), in Oaxaca, Mexico where the mezcal is distilled and aged by maestros mezcaleros Rodolfo and Mary Lopez Sosa. Se Busca is an artisanal mezcal made from 100% agave Augustifolia Espadin. The agave is harvested by hand, roasted in earthen pits, and crushed using a donkey-drawn tahona stone.
